James Edward (Jimmy) Moore was an eminent Irish clergyman in the late of the 20th and early 21st centuries.[1]

Born into an ecclesiastical family[2] in 1933, educated at Trinity College, Dublin and ordained in 1957,[3] he began his career with curacies at St Columba, Knock and St Comgall, Bangor.[4]

After this he was Priest in charge at the Church of the Transfiguration, Belvoir. After incumbencies at Groomsport and Dundela he became Archdeacon of Down in 1989 and Bishop of Connor in 1995.[5] He retired in 2001 and died on 16 March 2005
